Will Students Value Something They Receive for Free?

I don’t know about others, but I always placed a higher value on things that I worked hard to obtain.

With all of the pandering going on in the political campaigns, particularly with Hillary and Bernie outdoing each other to offer “free” and “debt-free” college tuition, I wonder if we haven’t overlooked some basic aspects of human nature.
