Hard Times Demand Hard Solutions
According to a recent analysis by the Philadelphia Inquirer, there has been a sharp increase in the number of local colleges which have been losing money on an operating basis, with several others perilously close to also posting operating losses.
These are challenging times for the academic “industry”, and tinkering around the edges of their current model will not save many of them.
