College rankings, anybody? Maybe U.S. News can do better

I love it when U.S. News releases any type of new college or university rankings. These are sure to be scrutinized by students, parents…..and most of all by college administrators!

Now that U.S. News has refined their ranking systems to fit almost all market segments, it might be time for them to offer a significant public service, by taking a look across all of the segments. For many students, the first decision is not which liberal arts school (or public university, etc.) to attend. It is a decision around the type of school that is right for them — from universities to community colleges.
