Hollywood Execs Make High School Sophomores Look Good
Much continues to be written about the fiasco over Sony Picture’s movie “The Interview”.
What strikes me the most about the whole thing is the stunning immaturity of the studio executives and producers. Sophomoric exchanges on Barack Obama’s likely taste in movies, along with catty remarks about various film actors, would lead me to compare these studio chiefs to high school sophomores — except that would be unfair to sophomores all over the country.
These movie executives make tons of money. Might I suggest that they apply themselves to making better movies? Anybody who saw the 30 seconds or so of the movie trailer can tell that this is a hugely stupid film. How many sequels and buddy movies do we need, anyway?
